What to Do When Spending Valentine's [Day] Alone
Valentine's Day can be a nice day to celebrate with loved ones, but it can also be dreadful for some. In which case, this tip is exactly what the title states. You don't have to fret being alone, instead, try making the best of your situation! Here's some fun things you can do to take your mind off of feeling down.

Shopping Treat yourself to something you've been wanting to purchase for a while. It doesn't have to be a big purchase in fact, a small item will do!

Food Grab a bite to eat! Simple as that. Go to your favorite restaurant and order your favorite meal or pick up some ingredients to make some comfort food at home. Order/make enough to splurge this one day of the year.

Chocolate/Candy You can never go wrong with sweets! Give yourself a break and snack on some chocolate or ice cream. It doesn't have to be much, but it can be your one moment to indulge.

Movie Consider spending time off your devices for this day. Try not going on social media (as they can be distracting) and enjoy a movie in the leisure of your home. Curl up with a warm mug of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and watch your favorite movie.

Creativity Why not be creative during the time you spend by yourself? Print off some adult coloring pages to decorate your walls with. Find an easy craft idea like making cards to give out to your family and friends, as another example. Anything that gets you a smidge active can brighten your mood.

Read Reading is good to quiet yourself down before it's time for rest. You're never too old to make believe and feel like you're in another place or time. Reading is a good way to find yourself on an adventure and forget there was ever a reason to alone on V. Day.

Nap You've had a long, strenuous day. A nap can do some good. If you're feeling down because of the love that's going 'round, a good nap can ward off any pesky feelings you have about loneliness.
